Terms of Service

1. The service

agent-video-editor ("the service") is a video-editing platform you operate through a web browser or by connecting your own software agent over the service's MCP endpoint. The service lets you upload or import media, edit projects, and export rendered video.

2. Your account

You need an account with a confirmed email address to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your password and any API tokens you create confidential, and for everything done through your account and tokens. Revoke a token immediately (on your tokens page) if you believe it has leaked.

3. Your content

Media you upload or import, and projects you build, remain yours. You grant the service only the rights needed to operate it: to store your content, to process and analyse it (for example transcription and scene analysis), to render it into exports you request, and to display it back to you and to agents you authorise. The service claims no other rights over your content and does not publish it.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• store, edit or distribute content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or the operator's;
• upload or import content you do not hold the necessary rights to;
• probe, overload or interfere with the service, other accounts, or the network it egresses to — including attempts to bypass quotas, rate limits or the URL-import allowlist;
• resell access to the service without the operator's agreement.

5. Quotas and limits

Accounts are subject to storage quotas, rate limits and concurrency limits. Requests over a limit are refused with an explanatory error, not silently dropped. The operator may change limits to keep the service healthy.

6. Beta status and retention

The service is a free public beta: there is no paid tier, no uptime service-level agreement, and no guarantee that stored content is safe from loss. Two automatic deletion schedules run regardless of whether you have collected the file:

• a finished export (the rendered video) is deleted 24 hours after it finishes rendering;
• the local download cache created when you import a video by URL is deleted 48 hours after it was created.

Neither deletion touches your project itself — the timeline and its edit history are not on either clock, and re-running an export reproduces the file from the current version. Keep your own copies of source media and of exports you care about: download them, or save an export to your media library, before its 24 hours run out.

7. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account yourself at any time; deletion removes your projects, media, tokens and sessions as described in the Privacy Policy. The operator may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, and will state the reason on request through the complaints contact. Content reported as unlawful or infringing is handled per the complaints procedure.

8. Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for lost content, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

The operator may update these terms; the "last updated" date above changes when the substance does. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be announced on this page.
